Flying from Dublin via Madrid
Ryanair, Aerlingus, Iberia. Vueling, KML…etc all fly to ~Madrid. You will land at T4.
From Madrid, you will need to travel on to La Coruña via Plane, Train or Bus.
Connecting Flight
The best way to get to La Coruña from Madrid is to get a 2nd flight which takes 1h 54m and costs £28 – £140.
Taking the Train
This costs €35 – €50 and takes 3h 30m or 5h 31m depending if you take a direct train or one with stops.
You will land at Terminal 4, and take a transfer train that will bring you to a station called Chamartin, where you will get the train that will bring you to Coruña City, the wedding destination. This train is very comfortable with a Caffe service at your seat or a cafeteria if you fancy stretching your legs and move about during the trip.
Depending on what train you take on the direction to Coruña, you might have to make a transfer in a city called Orense and take a 2nd train to Coruña. It will last approx 15′. But if you take the direct one, you won’t need to stop.
The train trip would be approximately around 3-4 hours.
Taking the Bus
The bus trip from Madrid to A Coruña costs £45 – £65 and takes 7h 35m.
